Mindfulness is like helping the mind to cool down. Self compassion is like a blanket and mug of hot chocolate. These two approaches combine perfectly. Almost like the two wings of a bird.

Self Compassion

“We can’t pour from an empty cup” as the saying goes.

Learning to develop skills and habits based on self-care allows us to benefit others without burning ourselves out. Why is it that we can be kind to others, but so hard on ourselves?

In this 2-hour course we will explore meditation techniques designed specifically to help us work on our self compassion. We will look at ways of living in the world that creates more harmony and understanding of ourselves and others.

Though not essential, an understanding of mindfulness practices would be useful before taking this course.
